Don 3: Amitabh Bachchan to star alongside Shah Rukh Khan in part 3, not Ranveer Singh?

Just yesterday reports were doing the rounds suggesting that Farhan Akhtar has started writing the script for Don 3. He was busy with Jee Le Zaraa but since that ambitious project is now on the backburner, he shifted his focus to the third and much awaited installment in his popular action series. As soon as the filmmaker has locked the screenplay, he is expected to give superstar Shah Rukh Khan aka Don a narration for the same. Well, if this was not enough to raise ones excitement, latest buzz has revealed that Amitabh Bachchan will also be a part of this film.

That’s right! A few days ago the megastar took to his official social media handle to share a picture of him with SRK, where the former was signing a poster of his 1978 blockbuster hit film Don. In the caption below, Big B wrote: “…. and … errr … continuing in the same vein .. DON.” Netizens were convinced that this was not just a throwback post, but a hint! Well, a report shared by ETimes now suggests that Shah Rukh and Amitabh are indeed reuniting on the silver screen for Don 3.

The report further reveals that Bollywood’s livewire Ranveer Singh was also being considered for this project, but in the end makers apparently decided to go with SRK and Big B. Well, if this is true, then Don 3 will turn out to be one of the most awaited projects of the year even before Farhan is done writing it! Meanwhile, Senior Bachchan is currently busy gearing up for Brahmastra , which also features SRK in a special cameo. The Jab Tak Hai Jaan star, on the other hand, will be making his comeback to films next year with Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan .
