Dream Girl 2: Not Tejasswi Prakash, but Sara Ali Khan is the top choice for Ayushmann Khurrana starrer?

A few years ago there was buzz about Sara Ali Khan and Ayushmann Khurrana’s collaboration, but it sadly never happened. Well, latest reports now suggest that the two might finally come together in Dream Girl 2.

Dream Girl 2: Not Tejasswi Prakash, but Sara Ali Khan is the top choice for Ayushmann Khurrana starrer?

It was recently reported that after winning Salman Khan ’s Bigg Boss season 15 and becoming Ekta Kapoor’s lead star in Naagin 6, actress Tejasswi Prakash is all set to make her Bollywood debut. Buzz suggested that she has even auditioned for Dream Girl 2, the sequel of Ayushmann Khurrana ’s 2019 sleeper hit. In a recent interview, the beauty did reveal that she’s reading a few scripts but did not confirm the news or talk about her audition. Well, now it is being said that Sara Ali Khan is the top choice for the Ayushmann starrer, not Tejasswi.

That’s right! A report shared by Mid Day reveals that Dream Girl 2 could mark Sara and Ayushmann’s first project together. A source was quoted saying, “The makers are looking for a feisty, young star. They think Sara fits the bill, and have begun talks with her. However, it is still in the early stages. The film will go on floors only later in the year.” Well, Sara does define the word ‘feisty’ and will surely look great opposite Ayushmann.

The original film, starring Ayushmann and Nushrratt Bharuccha , followed the story of a man who gets a job at a call centre thanks to his incredible talent of impersonating female voice. However, things get out of control when men start falling for his voice thinking he is Pooja. The comedy received mixed reviews but Ayushmann was lauded for his marvelous performance. Up next the actor has two exciting releases-- Doctor G and An Action Hero . Meanwhile, Sara will next be seen in Laxman Utekar's untitled project alongside Vicky Kaushal .
