'Ek or gana barbaad': Ayushmann Khurrana and Malaika Arora recreate iconic song Aap Jaisa Koi in An Action Hero but fans aren't impressed

Of late, Bollywood has been on a spree of recreating and remixing the old super hit songs, but more often the attempt has proved to be a failure. Yet again, the makers of Ayushmann Khurrana starrer An Action Hero have come up with a new rendition of the old classic hit Aap Jaisa Koi from the 1980 movie, Qurbani. It was originally sung by Pakistani singer Nazia Hassan. The song featuring Malaika Arora and Ayushmann has been finally released today( November 26).

In the song crooned by Zahrah S Khan and Altamash Faridi, Malaika sizzled in a silver attire and burns the dance floor with her sensuous moves. She also matches footsteps with Ayushmann toward the end of the song which is recreated by Tanishk Bagchi. Sharing the song on his Instagram handle, Ayushmann wrote, “When the OG Diva met #AnActionHero #AapJaisaKoi song out now with @malaikaaroraofficial!” Soon after the song was released, fans seemed unimpressed as they left harsh reactions in the comment section.

While one user praised Malaika’s ageless beauty saying, “Still no one is close to her when it comes to hotness”. But another disagreed saying, “Aunty ko kha l leeya ye song mein.” Commenting on the song, one of the person wrote, “Ek or gana barbaad” Another person stated, “Hamare ganno ki maa bhen ek kr k inhy sukoon milta hai.” “Tanishq bhai aap music industry se sanyaas lelo,” added one user. Earlier, the makers released its first song Jehda Nasha from the movie which has Ayushmann alongside Nora Fatehi. The song has become an instant hit the moment it was released. An Action Hero is the upcoming slick actioner with an offbeat satirical sense of humour which also stars Jaideep Ahlawat. Directed by Anirudh Iyer and produced by Aanand L Rai, Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar, the film is set to hit the theatres on December 2.
