Exclusive: Jugjugg Jeeyo star Maniesh Paul reveals he & Varun Dhawan gossiped a lot; calls Anil ‘energy ka bhandaar’

One film that not only won hearts but is also doing wonderful work at the box office is Raj Mehta’s Jugjugg Jeeyo . Starring Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor , Varun Dhawan , Kiara Advani and Maniesh Paul in the lead, the comedy drama follows the story of a Punjabi family, a wedding and lots of confusion thanks to two divorces, which left fans in splits. The story-line and performances are incredible, but what also impressed audiences is Maniesh’s bromance with Varun as well as his on-screen camaraderie with Anil.

In an exclusive interview with Desimartini, Maniesh opened up about his off-camera bond with the two actors. Talking about Varun, he shared, “We were having fun. I remember khatam hota tha scene, we were in each other's vanity all the time chit-chatting. You know, we were shooting in Pune, from Pune we were driving back so Varun came in my car and we were chit-chatting the entire way. And that day we took around six and a half hours, there was a lot of traffic, but humein pata hi nahi chala. We had so much to talk you know, we were talking non-stop and humne bohot saari gossips bhi kari jo hum kisi ko nahi bata sakte! But we had a great time, on and off screen we had a great time.”

Coming to Anil ji, or as Maniesh likes to describe him ‘energy ka bhandaar’, the actor revealed, “Yaar hum log bohot maza karte the. You know, Anil sir se itni cheezein sunne ko, jaanne ko aur seekhne ko mili you know woh apne experience batate the. Aur scene ke andar bada involved rehte hain, you know unki energy level dekh ke Varun aur main kayi baar kehte the.. maine kaha bhai tera mera kya hoga yeh toh thak hi nahi rahe, matlab pack-up ka time ho raha hai phir bhi yeh itni energy mein hain, ek scene aur laga denge director sahab. But bohot bohot maza aaya unke saath, kamaal energy hai unki.”
