Find out when the John Wick spinoff Ballerina takes place in the franchise timeline as Keanu Reeves shares details at CCXP22

With the fourth installment in the John Wick franchise getting ready for release, the star of the franchise, Keanu Reeves , appeared at this year's CCXP in Brazil to promote the movie and also spoke about its spinoff Ballerina .

Ballerina stars Ana de Armas in the lead as Rooney. Who had a small role in John Wick 3 as an assassin in training, in chapter three, she was portrayed by Unity Phelan.

During his interview at CCXP via Hyper Omelete, the actor talked about the spinoff saying"So the film Ballerina that Ana de Armas stars in being directed by Len Wiseman has already started filming, and it takes place between John Wick: Chapter 3 and John Wick: Chapter 4 ."

From what we know about the plot of Ballerina, we know that Rooney is after revenge for the murder of her family and it seems that she had finished her training and is off to get revenge.

And since the since is set between chapters 3 and 4, there is a possibility that Rooney might have a cameo in John Wick 4. speaking of cameos, we do know that Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and Anjelica Huston will be appearing in the spinoff.

Len Wiseman known for his work in the Underworld franchise will be helming the project with a screenplay written by Shay Hatten and Emerald Fennell. Ballerina is one of two John Wick spinoffs in production.

The second one is The mini-series titled The Continental, which will be a prequel and is expected to premiere sometime in 2023.

As for John Wick Chapter 4, the movie will see John realizes that the only way to defeat the High Table is from within and decide to challenge existing member The Marquis de Gramont in a one-on-one fight to the death for his seat at the table.

The cast of the movie includes Keanu Reeves, Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, Rina Sawayama, Scott Adkins, and Ian McShane.

John Wick: Chapter 4 will hit theaters on March 24, 2023.
