    The upcoming murder mystery movie starring Galdot and Kenneth Branagh had bagged an official Chineese release date

    Since the start of the pandemic, the Chinese movie market which is the biggest market for Hollywood movies has greatly reduced the number of movies that can be released in the country.

    Several Hollywood studios have been denied a release in the country including the international blockbuster Spider-Man : No Way Home. While no official reason is given it can be assumed that the relationship between the two countries could be a factor

    But it seems Disney 's Death on the Nile starring Gal Gadot has managed to secure an official release in the country. The movie is set to release on 19 February in China.

    In other parts of the world Death on the Nile is all set to release a week earlier on 11 February. 

    The movie which is a sequel to the 2017 Murder on the Orient Express, follows the adventures of world-famous detective Hercule Poirot and is based on the novels by famous mystery writer Agatha Christe.

    The movie will see the detective investigate a murder on a luxury cruise ship on the river Nile, Gal Gadot will play the role of Linnet Ridgeway-Doyle a wealthy heiress who hires Poirot to solve the case.

    Kenneth Branagh will also be directing the sequel, Death on the Nile was set to release in 2020 but was delayed due to the pandemic as well allegations of sexual assault against one of the lead actors Armie Hammer.

    Despite these issues, the movie is set to hit the big screen next month and an official Chinese release will also help the movie at the box office

    The movie boasts an ensemble cast that includes Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Ali Fazal , Dawn French, Rose Leslie, and Emma Mackey
