Gautham Menon celebrates his birthday with the cast and crew of Thalapathy Vijay's Leo

Gautham Menon who will an important role in the upcoming action flick Leo celebrated his birthday with the cast and crew of the movie in Kashmir.

While his role in the movie remains a mystery, it is clear that the director-turned-actor has more than proved his acting chops with great performances in movies like Trance and Sita Ramam.

The cast and crew of the movie will soon finish the movie's Kashmir schedule soon and is expected to start filming in Chennai in April, with the movie officially wrapping production in May.

Even before its release, the movie has managed to collect around 400 crores in pre-release business, thanks to an OTT deal with Netflix for 120, and a satellite deal with Sun Pictures for 70/. The music rights of the movie have been bought by Sony for 18 crores and finally, the Hindi dub version was sold for 30 crores.

There has been a lot of speculation about the plot of the movie and there is a rumor that the movie has a similar plot to the 2005 Hollywood action movie 'A History of Violence'.

In which a family man is forced to confront this violent past after he encounters someone from his old life as a gangster.

The movie is produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy under the banner Seven Screen Studio.

The cinematography will be handled by Manoj Paramahamsa. The movie will be edited by Philomin Raj who worked on the previous entries of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe.

Lokesh Kanakaraj has announced three other installments set in the Lokesh cinematic universe, they are Which are Kaithi 2 starring Karthi, Vikram 2 starring Kamaal Hassan, and finally, a spinoff of Vikram focusing on Rolex played by Suriya, who had a cameo at the end of the movie.

Leo will hit theaters worldwide on 20 October 2023.
