Govinda Naam Mera song Bijli: Kiara Advani’s latka-jhatkas are a must watch, Vicky Kaushal’s energy is contagious

Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal ’s chemistry in Lust Stories was electric but short lived, as it was an anthology. So when it was announced that they will be reuniting in Govinda Naam Mera , we were obviously excited. The trailer revealed that Vicky aka Govinda and his girlfriend Suku, played by Kiara, are choreographers. Well, the first track for their comedy thriller is now out and it has given us a brief glimpse of their killer moves as well as their sizzling chemistry, which we can’t get enough of!

Titled Bijli , this track helmed by Mika Singh, Neha Kakkar and Sachin-Jigar is full on paisa vasool. The perfect word to describe this song, their energetic dance moves and foot-tapping beats, which are no less than an open invitation to the dance floor, is ‘masaaledaar’! The lyrics don’t really make sense, but Suku and Govinda’s performance makes up for it. While Vicky is a livewire full of energy, Kiara steals the show this time with her on-point expressions and must-watch latka jhatkas!

It is evident that Kiara has worked really hard on this track and has successfully matched up to Vicky, who generally takes away the limelight when he shines on-screen. They look great together and we are super excited to see more of them when the film arrives on streaming giant Disney+Hotstar on 16th December. Also starring Bhumi Pednekar as Vicky’s hottie wife, Govinda Naam Mera has been written and directed by Shashank Khaitan. We have extremely high expectations from this masala entertainer! Let’s hope it follows through.

Before the trailer was launched, producer Karan Johar had dropped a hilarious video where he convinced Vicky to sign this project. The other film that he offered to the actor was Student Of The Year 3.
