    Ever since Hugh Jackman 's last appearance as Wolverine in 2017 hit Logan which earned the actor an Oscar nomination, fans and especially Ryan Reynolds want the actor to reprise his role.

    The actor's recent Twitter post reignited rumors that he may return to play the role in Deadpool 3 .

    But the actor in a recent interview that he hasn't talked to Kevin Feige and that he won't be reprising his role in Deadpool 3.

    Deadpool will be making his MCU debut and is currently in the scripting stages and will be Marvel 's first R-rated movie.

    Hugh Jackman's post on Twitter was a picture of him looking at his phone with a surprised look on his face which let fans speculate he was teasing his return to the role.

    But in the interview with Jake's Takes Jackman dismissed the rumors.

    In the interview Jackman said 

    "Let's just be clear that, but now, I realized, before we shot Logan, I was like, we got the idea. We knew what it was going to be-ish, right? And I thought this is it. And that really helped me, it really helped knowing I was going into my last season, that it was my last season that I made the most of it. And it's still a character I hold close to my heart. But I know it's done."

    "Tell that to whoever you want to. Please tell it to Ryan [Reynolds]. Because he's like, doesn't believe anything's I'm joking, please."

    Hugh Jackman made his debut as Wolverine in 2000s X-Men which has been credited with establishing superhero movies as more than a niche.

    Jackman has wrapped production for the upcoming Florian Zeller drama movie The Son in which he will be co-starring with Laura Dern.

    Writers of Deadpool 1 and 2 Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are currently working on the script for Deadpool 3 and have told fans in interviews that Marvel has been very supportive and has never tried to censor them.

    So it will be a while be see the merc with a mouth make his MCU debut.
