Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine in Deadpool 3 confirms Ryan Reynolds in first teaser

After years of Ryan Reynolds and fans asking Hugh Jackman to return as Wolverine, the wait is finally over as it is official that the actor will make his MCU debut along with Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool 3 .

In the first official teaser for the third installment in the franchise shared by Reynolds via Twitter in which we see the actor apologizes for not being there for D23 this year and we see him roam the woods and pouring himself a big drink while saying that he wants to make Deadpool 3 special but hasn't come up with anything.

Expect for one idea

Director Shawn Levy also responded to the news via Twitter

It will be interesting to see what role Wolverine will play in the movie. thankfully there are plenty of comics where two have teamed up, we also don't know if this is a one-time for Jackman or if he has signed on to reprise his role on a more permanent basis in the MCU.

Thanks to the Multiverse it is possible that the actor could just be playing a variant of the iconic mutant, Jackman's last appearance as Wolverine was in the 2017 Logan which earned him an Oscar nomination for best actor.

Deadpool 3 is set to hit theaters on September 6, 2024.
