Indian 2 Twitter reaction: Netizens call Kamal Haasan’s vigilante flick an outdated film that ‘disappoints in every department’
Here’s how the FDFS-goers have reacted to Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2.

Kamal Haasan in and as Indian.
Kamal Haasan and S. Shankar’s most anticipated film, Indian 2, has finally arrived at cinemas, and so have the first-day-first-show reviews. Starring Siddharth, SJ Suryah, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, and Priya Bhavani Shankar, Indian 2 marks the return of the iconic Senapathy from the 1996 blockbuster, who aims to eradicate rampant corruption in the country.
Although the first installment was a big success, fans are not impressed with the sequel of Kamal Haasan and Shankar’s sophomore collaboration. Here’s how the FDFS viewers have reacted to Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2:
Indian 2 Twitter reactions
Many users criticized the makers for producing an outdated story with no interesting plot. One user commented, “30 minutes into Indian 2, and my god, it’s awful. Shankar is just way too outdated.”
A few even pointed out that Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan’s performance was disappointing due to the prosthetic makeup. “#Indian2 - Disappointing first half. In 1996, we set a high standard for prosthetic makeup. In 2024, we have stooped down to Okka Magadu standards. What a fall!”
While the film has been receiving mixed reception from audiences, many users hailed the makers for the title card of the film (which sadly has nothing to do with the actual film). “The good part of the movie was the title card, and sadly, it ends there. Extremely old content,” one user wrote. Many were disappointed by the making of the film, stating that the film ‘disappointed in every department’.
Talking about other artists’ performances, many viewers praised Siddharth’s role and are looking forward to SJ Suryah’s part in the third installment.
Overall, the film has been hit with several criticisms, with many wishing the makers had presented a better storyline for Senapathy’s return.
