    Is Jason Momoa going to play Lobo in the new DCU?


    The Aquaman star took to Instagram to share with DC fans that he just met with the new heads of DC Studios and that he has exciting news.

    While the actor did not go into details, many speculated that he would be playing the role of Lobo in the new DCU and returning from Aquaman.

    In November of last year, when James Gunn and Peter Safran took over as heads of DC Studios, the actor revealed that he was excited to work with them and that he was excited to work on his dream project with them.

    Jason Momoa has always expressed in playing the role of the iconic bounty hunter in a movie. In the comics Lobo is an alien from the planet of Czarnia, who have superstrength and fortitude, he is also the last of his kind.

    Lobo has faced off against many DC heroes but is known for his rivalry with Superman and since there is going to be a superman reboot, there is a possibility that we will Jason Momoa's Lobo take on the new Man of Steel.

    While it does look like Momoa is hinting at his new role as Lobo, in the new DCU lineup. There is a possibility that he could be talking about the third installment in the Aquaman franchise.

    As for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, in officially in post-production but has been going through several changes due to restructuring going on in DC Studios.

    Initially, Micheal Keaton was supposed to play an alternative version of Batman in the movie but was seemingly replaced by Ben Affleck's Batman.

    Keaton was also supposed to have a big role in the canceled Batgirl movie with starred Leslie Grace in the lead.

    Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is scheduled to hit theaters on December 25, 2023.

    Meanwhile, the next movie in the DC lineup is Shazam! Fury of the Gods, starring Zachary Levi in the lead.

    Shazam! Fury of the Gods will hit theaters worldwide on 17 March 2023.
