Telugu superstar Jr NTR recently made a heartfelt gesture by fulfilling his mother's lifelong dream of visiting the Udupi Sri Krishna Matha. Accompanied by Kannada star Rishab Shetty, NTR made the special visit to Kundapura, just ahead of his mother Shalini Nandamuri's birthday.
Sharing his joy on social media, NTR posted pictures of the visit, which included moments with his mother and a traditional Kundapura meal with director Prashanth Neel and Rishab. "My mother's lifelong dream of bringing me to her hometown Kundapura and seeking darshan at Udupi Sri Krishna Matha has finally come true! Making it happen just before her birthday on September 2nd is the best gift I could give her. Thanks to @VKiragandur sir and my dearest friend Prashanth Neel for joining me and making this possible. A special thanks to my dear friend @shetty_rishab, whose presence and support made this moment incredibly special," NTR shared.
Shalini Nandamuri, a native of Karnataka, has always been proud of her roots, and NTR often highlights his connection to the state and its culture.
On the professional front, Jr NTR is gearing up for his next big project with director Prashanth Neel. This untitled film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, marks the first collaboration between the actor and director. The project is set to go on floors by the end of October, with NTR joining the shoot in December. The film is expected to be a massive venture, with production extending over a year and a release planned for January 2026.
Interestingly, Prashanth Neel was initially expected to begin shooting Salaar Part 2 with Telugu superstar Prabhas, but he has put that project on hold to focus on this new film with NTR. Hombale Films, the producers of Salaar, have yet to clarify the future of the sequel.
Meanwhile, Jr NTR is awaiting the release of Devara Part 1, set to hit theatres on September 27.
