Since then, the movie has been doing a decent business at the box office. On its sixth day, the family entertainer has amassed around Rs 48 crore and is just an inch away from the Rs 50 crore mark.

According to a news report in Pinkvilla, the early estimates for the box office collections of Jugjugg Jeeyo for June 29 amount to Rs 3.90 crore to Rs 4 crore. This makes the total collection of the movie to be Rs 48.65 crore on its sixth day. The film had witnessed an impressive opening of Rs 9.28 crore on its first day. It reportedly had an occupancy of 20% on its first day with the movie especially doing well in the North India belt.

Jugjugg Jeeyo has also become the fifth highest-grossing movie of 2022. It is trailing slightly behind movies like The Kashmir Files , Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Gangubai Kathiawadi, and Samrat Prithviraj . The news report further mentioned that if this steady box office performance of the film continues, then the Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani starrer can easily mint around Rs 13 crore on its second weekend. The film is also likely to enter the Rs 100 crore benchmark owing to its consistent performance at the box office.

The movie has been helmed by Raj Mehta. It also stars Prajakta Koli and Maniesh Paul in pivotal roles. Desimartini’s review for Jugjugg Jeeyo read, “Talking about performances, it is Anil Kapoor who shines above all in the film with his flawless comic timing which he balances perfectly with emotions in intense scenes. Varun Dhawan, on the other hand, delivers a restrained performance and despite being the lead actor in this ensemble he never over powers the narrative which reflects his confidence in the script. From emotional scenes to comic ones, Jugjugg Jeeyo gives the actor an opportunity to showcase his full range of talent in the film and he passes with flying colours in all scenes.”
