    Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani starrer Jugjugg Jeeyo witnessed an impressive jump on the second Sunday of its release. The family drama collected Rs 6 crore, taking its total ten-day business close to Rs 65 crore. Directed by Raj A Mehta, the film has already crossed Rs 100 crore mark worldwide.

    The film opened with decent numbers at the box office, earning Rs 36.93 crore on its first weekend. The film’s business showed a sharp decline, registering Rs 4.82 crore on the first Monday, but it remained steady through the first week. On the second Friday collected Rs 3.03 crore, however, on Saturday, the collection showed solid growth of 56.77 percent growth. And second Sunday saw an even bigger jump, taking the overall domestic collection to Rs 63.50 crore.

    The film is expected to earn around 80 crore nett in the second week as per boxofficeindia.com reports. However, its business can be affected by the release of Thor -LOve and Thunder which hits it hard on Thursday. Well, currently the film continues to perform well in Delhi NCR and Mumbai circuit despite the release of R Madhavan ’s Rocketry : The Nambi Effect and Aditya Roy Kapur ’s Rashtra Kavach Om .

It revolves around two couples who are heading for divorce in a modern family setup. Besides Varun and Kiara, the film also has Anil Kapoor , Neetu Kapoor , Maniesh Paul, and Prajakta Kohli in the key roles. The film was released in cinemas on June 24.

    In the review of the film, Desimartini wrote, “Jugjugg Jeeyo marries all cliches of a family entertainer with a fresh story which is refreshing in a manner you might not have anticipated. The balance that film manages to strike between emotional scenes, comedy and drama is rare. The narrative is fast moving which ensures that there’s not a moment of boredom and keeps you engrossed through the entire length of the film.”
