Ever since the collaboration between top actors Dulquer Salmaan and Rana Daggubati in their upcoming film Kaantha was announced, fans and netizens have been eagerly anticipating the project to begin. Now, the makers have officially commenced the project with a puja ceremony. The leading stars Dulquer Salmaan and Rana Daggubati are seen together in traditional attire, alongside Mr. Bachchan fame actress Bhagyashree Borse in the puja picture. The puja ceremony took place in Hyderabad and an official post from the makers is awaited.
Lead actors look alluring in new picture
In the viral picture, Dulquer Salmaan looks stylish in a white kurta-pajama set, paired with dark sunglasses and a wristwatch. On the other hand, Rana Daggubati is seen in a charming white kurta, complemented by a beige shawl draped over his shoulder. His heavily bearded look and sunglasses elevate his fashionable appearance.
Meanwhile, Bhagyashree Borse opts for a graceful off-white saree with a golden blouse, which she styles with minimal accessories.
All you need to know about Kaantha
The upcoming film Kaantha is directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, who made his directorial debut with Nila (2016), which won the Audience Award at the Cinequest San Jose Film Festival. He also created the Netflix documentary series The Hunt for Veerappan. Interestingly, the young filmmaker previously assisted Ang Lee during the Indian schedule of the Oscar-winning film Life of Pi.
Touted to be an action drama, the film will feature Dulquer Salmaan and Telugu star Rana Daggubati in key roles. The movie was announced in 2023 but has yet to go on floors. Earlier, when the title poster was revealed, Dulquer took to his social media pages to share the new poster, which featured a man standing below a massive chandelier. The actor also expressed his excitement for the film, sharing that he was all ready to take on a 'challenging role.'
The movie is bankrolled by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films in association with Rana Daggubati’s home banner, Spirit Media, and will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam.
