Ahead of the release of Kangana Ranaut’s action thriller Dhaakad, there are reports suggesting that makers have already started working on its sequel. Kangana and Arjun Rampal are reportedly set to return as Agent Agnee and arch-villain Rudraveer respectively in the upcoming sequel.

According to Bollywood Hungama reports, the makers of Dhaakad are working on building Kangana’s character for the upcoming sequel. Producer Sohel Maklai told the news portal that all her action sequences have been choreographed by a team of international action directors. However, it is still unknown whether Razneesh Ghai will helm the second installment of the ongoing franchise. Also, the upcoming sequel will mark Kangana’s second franchise after Aanand L Rai’s Tanu Weds Manu franchise.

Dhaakad is Kangana’s upcoming action thriller which is slated to hit theatres on May 20. The film will see her playing the role of Agent Agnee, a highly trained field agent, who embarks on a mission to eliminate human and arms trafficker, Rudraveer played by Arjun Rampal. The film also stars Divya Dutta, Saswata Chatterjee, and Sharib Hashmi in prominent roles.

With Dhaakad, Kangana for the first will be seen in a new action avatar. For her terrific action sequences in the film, she is being considered steps ahead of Uma Thurman in the Hollywood flick Kill Bill. She has learned martial art and fighting techniques to do justice to her role. "A crew came from Hollywood and also from Korea for the training. So, it's a team effort and no single person can be given the credit. This movie has the longest fight sequence in Hindi cinema, approximately 14 minutes," she told IANS.

Directed by Razneesh Ghai, the film is set to hit theatres on May 20.
