Kantara Hindi OTT release: Here is when one can expect the Rishabh Shetty starrer to hit the streaming platforms

The Rishabh Shetty starrer and directed Kannada film Kantara has surely been the star product of Indian cinema this year. The movie which was made on a budget of Rs 16 crore has now garnered a whopping Rs 400.90 crore at the box office proving the importance of an astounding concept and master filmmaking. The movie was released on the OTT streaming platform Amazon Prime Video on November 24 in languages like Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil but the Hindi audience will have to wait a little more for the movie to release in the Hindi language.

Talking about the same, the reason behind this might be the stellar performance of the film at the Hindi box office. According to a news report in Jan Bharat Times, the Hindi collections of Kantara are almost mounting to an impressive Rs 80 crore. While the Hindi rights of the Rishabh Shetty film have been acquired by the OTT streaming platform Netflix, the Hindi audience will have to wait for some more days for the movie to release on OTT in the Hindi language owing to its ongoing phenomenal performance in the Hindi box office. Reportedly, one can expect the film to be released in Hindi on the OTT platforms on the first week of December. 

The film though facing stiff competition with the Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam 2 is in no mood to stop. A similar thing happened with the Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur starrer Sita Ramam. Owing to the film’s spectacular box office success, the film was first released in the regional languages on Amazon Prime Video on September 9, 2022. It was much later that the movie was released in Hindi on the OTT streaming platform, Disney+ Hotstar on November 18, 2022.

Not only this but Kantara is also ruling the roost on IMDB. The movie is currently on a rating of a massive 9.3 even after 50 days after its release. Well, it seems that Rishabh Shetty’s unique brainchild’s winning spree will be continued for some more time.
