Kareena Kapoor Khan's upcoming project with Sujoy Ghosh delayed because of the pandemic?
Kareena Kapoor's upcoming film, which would be a thriller helmed by Sujoy Ghosh, seems to have been delayed because of the pandemic. Reportedly, it was to go on floors in March.
Kareena Kapoor Khan was last seen in Angrezi Medium and fans have eagerly been waiting for her next. Needless to say, they were super excited when reports of her being a part of Sujoy Ghosh's upcoming thriller started doing the rounds. Moreover, the fact that she would be co-producing it with Ekta Kapoor and Hansal Mehta made fans curious as to what the subject might be. Sujoy Ghosh is known for the strong female characters in his films and audience is getting super eager to know what character he will assign for Bebo. However, looks like fans would have to wait a little more, since the shoot seems to have been pushed. The reason- the ongoing pandemic.
If a report in Pinkvilla is to be believed, then the film was to go on floors in March. However, with the rising number of cases, that target now seems to be difficult to achieve. A source told the portal, “She met Sujoy last week at his office to discuss the prepping for the film, including the finalisation of her look. The modalities are being worked out as the idea is to start in March at the picturesque hill stations of Kalimpong and Darjeeling in West Bengal. But with the cases rising all over India and West Bengal, Sujoy, Jay and their team are closely monitoring the Covid situation and will take a call only after things get better. So as of now nothing is confirmed.”
The film that will also star talented actors like Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat would reportedly have a start-to-finish schedule that will take around two months. Looking at the current situation, and the increased precautions, it might take longer to finish. As audience, we just hope that we get to see the film super soon.
