Kartik Aaryan gets candid about Shehzada; clarifies it’s an adaptation of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, not a remake

    Actor Kartik Aaryan will be reuniting with Kriti Sanon in their upcoming action comedy Shehzada, which has been adapted from Allu Arjun’s Telugu blockbuster hit Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.

    Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan is currently busy soaring high on the success of his recently released film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 which has successfully crossed the 200 crore mark and has emerged as the second highest-grossing Hindi film of the year. Fans absolutely loved him as Rooh Baba and couldn’t get enough of the horror comedy, which also stars Tabu and Kiara Advani in the lead. Well, recently the actor tested positive for COVID-19 . But as soon as he recovers, he will jump right back into work to complete Shehzada .

    In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Kartik got candid about the much awaited action comedy, which is inspired by Telugu blockbuster hit Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo . He was quoted saying, “It's an adaptation and not a remake. I think our director, Rohit, has adapted it beautifully for the Hindi audience. It is one of those films that has a very wide appeal among the audiences. I am really excited and looking forward to the film.”

    Kartik went on to add, “People will get to see me in this complete avatar of action and comedy for the first time and I can't speak much about it right now, We are ready to bring it on November 4.” While the original film features South superstar Allu Arjun in the lead along with Tabu and Pooja Hegde , Shehzada will reunite Kartik on-screen with his Luka Chuppi co-star Kriti Sanon . It is being helmed by Rohit Dhawan and is one of the most talked about films of the year.
