When a remake of a popular film is made, comparisons are bound to happen. May it be the story-line, the characters or even songs-- fans tend to look closely at each and every aspect, which is why it’s a tricky business. But that does not mean we are not excited when a remake is announced! So when it was revealed that Kartik Aaryan will be stepping into the shoes of South superstar Allu Arjun for the Hindi remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo , titled Shehzada , fans were over the moon with joy! Also starring Kriti Sanon , the project is being helmed by director Rohit Dhawan and is expected to arrive in theatres in November this year. So the main question now is, will it meet expectations of fans who adore Allu’s character Bantu in the action comedy drama?

Well, in a recent interview with Film Companion, Kartik was asked how he’s making the character his own. To this, he replied, “I don’t know, I just don’t take that pressure. I am not thinking about ke should I do something exactly like how it was done over there..” Kartik explained that these questions don’t bother him. He explained that his director Rohit has added his own ideas and elements into the film. The actor stated, “I think when the film comes out, Shehzada will have its own identity. Not to take away from what Ala (Vaikunthapurramuloo) has made, it was a beautiful movie and Allu Arjun, he outperformed and he really performed so well in the film. We are all his fans.”

Kartik went on to add, “But when it comes to Shehzada, of course Rohit has an idea regarding the film. There are certain areas he wants to do something different or maybe.. So he's taken on the idea but he's given his own spin to it which I really like about that film. So there's no added pressure. It’s a new film again for us and we're enjoying it.”

How excited are you to see Kartik and Kriti in Shehzada?
