Kartik Aaryan on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2: ‘I felt like a superhero when I wore that Rooh baba costume’

Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan may have started out as a rom-com hero, but in his 11 year long career in the film industry he has definitely evolved as an actor. While he still wins our hearts when he stars in a romantic comedy, he has started experimenting with different genres. We saw his intense avatar in Love Aaj Kal 2, audiences went gaga over his character Arjun Pathak in Ram Madhvani ’s thriller Dhamaka and now he has left fans in awe as Rooh baba in his first horror comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

Also starring Kiara Advani and Tabu , the Anees Bazmee directorial is a spiritual sequel to Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan ’s iconic 2007 film. Well, when the first teaser was unveiled, Kartik left fans in awe with his black and white tantric costume. In a chat with ETimes, the actor revealed, “I was very excited from Day 1. This is the first time, I am doing a horror-comedy genre. It seems like a great sequel to a film, despite being a completely different film. I felt like a superhero when I wore that Rooh baba costume.”

Other than the killer performances and the fresh unique story-line, Kartik and Kiara’s on-screen chemistry has been lauded by many fans. Talking about his beautiful co-star, the Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor shared, “Kiara is a great co-star. We bonded really well during the course of the film. It’s been more than 2 years, since we’ve spent time with each other, and I think, that has also helped us in putting our best foot forward.”

Well, up next Kartik has various exciting projects in his kitty including Shehzada , Freddy , Captain India and Om Raut’s next. He will also reunite with Kiara for Sajid Nadiadwala-produced love saga.
