South superstar Yash -starrer KGF : Chapter 2 continues to roar at the box office as the action flick has entered the Rs 700 crore club worldwide in its first week. After becoming the biggest opener in the history of movies, the film is likely to witness steady growth with Rs 300 crore collection worldwide on Day 8.

Ever since the Prashant Neel directorial was released on April 14, the film has been breaking several records. It has become the first film in Hindi to collect Rs 250 crore in just a week of release, beating other Hindi box office records of superhits Baahubali: The Conclusion, Dangal , War , among others.

As per the day-wise collection, KGF 2 crossed Rs 50 crore on its opening day. On the second and third day, it collected approximately Rs100 crore and Rs 115 crore respectively. While on the fourth and fifth day, the film managed to collect overall Rs 350 crore. And around 600 crore towards the end of the first week. So far, the total collection of the film stands at Rs 720 crore. As per trade analysts, the film is predicted to earn Rs 300 crore in the second weekend taking the overall collection close to the Rs 1000 crore mark.

As per the Box Office India reports, "The 250 crore nett number gives KGF 2 and average of around 35 crore nett per day which is crazy as a 35 crore nett opening day itself is a huge task and only eight films have managed this and one of them is KGF 2 itself. The extended holiday weekend is also a plus because if it was normal seven day week with a holiday on day one then the numbers of Bahubali - The Conclusion would have been tougher to reach."

Meanwhile, KGF: Chapter 2 is the second part of the Kannada blockbuster 'KGF: Chapter 1'. While the first part follows an underdog Rocky who later becomes a dangerous gangster, the second part follows his encounter with the new villain Adheera. Bankrolled by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, the film features Yash in the lead, along with Sanjay Dutt , Raveena Tandon, and Srinidhi Shetty in important roles.
