The highly anticipated movie KGF : Chapter 2 has finally hit the theatres today and it is expected to take a grand opening at the ticket windows. The gangster drama has already created a record with its advance booking across the nation and is expected to cross the Rs 150-crore by day 1 itself.

While the Bahubali 2 earned Rs 37.53 crore, KGF 2 has recorded the highest advance among Hindi releases with Rs 38-39 crore collection, out of which Rs 21.50 crore came on an opening day, and the remaining from the upcoming days.

The massive buzz for the film is witnessed in areas like Odisha and Mumbai. The film is likely to be among Bahubali 2 and War to perform phenomenally strong in these regions. However, KGF 2 collection can also be affected by Vijay starrer Beast which was released on April 13. The film took a decent opening at around Rs 50 crore in India, however, Yash-starrer is expected to emerge as the first choice among Hindi, Kannada, and even Telugu audiences.

As per a report on Sacnilk, the film was expected to beat War's opening day record of Rs 51.60 crore because of its advance responses and Shahid Kapoor starrer Jersey postponement. The film is expected to pick up in North India collecting Rs 70 crore. While it is estimated to earn Rs 35 crore in Karnataka. Similarly, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were also likely to earn a similar amount, and Kerala could contribute around Rs 5 crore.

Reportedly, overall the film could earn Rs 140 crore in India, and around Rs 25 crore from the global market to achieve a total collection of Rs 165 crore.

Backed by Vijay Kiragandur under the Hombale Films banner, KGF Chapter 2 is the second installment of the KGF which was released in 2018 and became a pan-India success. The film made Yash a popular name beyond his original Kannada fan base.
