KGF Chapter 2: Sanjay Dutt gets candid about his 'menacing' but 'humane' character Adheera

One of the most anticipated films of the year, KGF Chapter 2 is all set to release in theatres on 14th April after what seems like a really long wait. While rocking star Yash will be reprising his beloved character of Raja Krishnappa Bairya aka Rocky from the 2018 film KGF Chapter 1, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt will be seen as a heartless antagonist named Adheera. Meanwhile, Raveena Tandon will be portraying the role of Prime Minister Ramika Sen. Well, the team is currently on a promotional spree and are leaving no stones unturned to make KGF Chapter 2’s release the event of the month!

In a recent chat with Mid Day, Sanju baba got candid about his character Adheera, who will be locking horns with Yash aka Rocky on the silver screen. The actor was quoted saying, “When you are handed such a strong role, you have to work on it with all you’ve got. I followed the director’s [Prashanth Neel] vision for this character. We designed his look first. I gave a lot of suggestions to enhance the character.” Dutt went on to add, “He is menacing, but at the same time, humane [to some]. A lot of how Adheera has shaped up is from the energy that Yash and I brought to each scene. What a talent he is!”

KGF Chapter 2: Yash lauds Sanjay Dutt for dedicating himself to the film despite being diagnosed with cancer 

Even before the release, fans have already predicted that the film will be a masterpiece. The team also had a great time shooting it, but the process was not easy because around the same time Sanjay was diagnosed with cancer. During the trailer launch, Yash had revealed that he was scared for his co-star during action sequences. But he lauded Dutt for dedicating himself to the film and called him a ‘true fighter’. Well, Sanju baba shared that the team did everything they could to make him feel comfortable. Talking about the climax, he stated, “They suggested we shoot it against a green screen. But as an actor, shooting this film correctly was important to me. We had a grand vision for it.”

Well, we can’t wait to see Yash and Sanjay Dutt’s KGF Chapter 2 on the silver screen!
