    The most awaited update is here! The makers of Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran's highly anticipated sequel L2: Empuraan are set to unveil the teaser of the film on the special occasion of Republic Day.

    Sharing the announcement, the makers wrote, "Welcome to the world of #L2E 🔥 The first glimpse is releasing on 26/01/2025 at 7:07 PM IST 🕖 Stay tuned! 💥 #L2E Releasing on 27th March 2025."

    The new announcement has sparked a frenzy among netizens who have been eagerly awaiting a glimpse of the highly anticipated action thriller. The film is also a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer, which marked the directorial debut of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran.

    L2: Empuraan uses anamorphic format, confirms Prithviraj

    Recently, a fan on Twitter asked whether the movie would be available in a flat ratio version for EPIQ and IMAX formats. In response, Prithviraj revealed that L2E and Empuraan were not shot using full-format lenses. He expressed his intention to maintain the anamorphic style and a 1:2.8 aspect ratio for all three films in the franchise.

    He also shared his admiration for the anamorphic format, as cranked by cinematographer Sujith Vaassudev. Prithviraj mentioned his deep appreciation for the big-screen experience, noting that while he enjoys smaller, more realistic cinemas, he has always been drawn to larger canvases as a filmmaker. This decision led him to choose the anamorphic format the upcoming action thriller.
