The shooting of the intro song for the upcoming Thalapathy Vijay starrer Leo has begun in Chennai and it will be massive. According to a report, the song will have over 500 backup dancers.

The rehearsals for the song have been going on for the past week under the supervision of choreographer Dinesh. The song shoot is expected to be wrapped in four days.

The first look for the movie will be dropping on June 22 Vijay's birthday. While we did get a teaser when Leo began earlier this year, it, like the teaser of director Lokesh Kanagaraj's last movie Vikram does not contain actual footage from the movie.

Lokesh Kanagaraj and the Leo team are also prepping for the climax shoot of the movie which will be an all-out fight between Vijay and Arjun Sarja.

Arjun Sarja recently joined the movie's cast for an undisclosed role and it looks like he will be playing the main villain of the film.

The climax is scheduled for a 20-day shot in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Recently Thalapathy Vijay showed off his brand new avatar for the upcoming Leo, this new look confirmed that the actor will be sporting two different looks in the movie.

The movie will be the third installment in the LCU following 2019's Kaithi which starred Karthi and 2022s Vikram which starred Kamal Haasan in the lead.

The franchise has grossed around 530 crores at the box office. Leo also marks the second collaboration between Lokesh and Vijay after 2021's Master.

Leo will see Vijay and Trisha reunite after a gap of 15 years, their last movie together was the 2008 action movie Kuruvi.

This movie will also mark their fifth collaboration after Ghilli, Thirupaachi, Aathi, and Kuruvi, three of which have been massive box-office successes.

The main cast of the movie includes Vijay, Trisha, Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Manobala, and Janany Kunaseelan.

Leo will hit theaters worldwide on 20 October 2023.
