Mahesh Babu reveals son Gautham was born six weeks premature: "He was just as big as my palm"
Mahesh Babu is now one of the biggest stars not just in the Telugu film industry but pan India. His charm and his swag have made everyone his fan. But now, in a recent chat show, he revealed how he started working for children, and his son Gautham had a contribution to that.
In the Telugu chat show, Unstoppable hosted by Nandamuri Balakrishnan, Mahesh Babu appeared as a special guest. There he revealed how Gautham was born prematurely. He said, “Gautham was born six weeks before as a premature baby. When I first held him, he was just as big as my palm. Now, Gautham is almost 6 ft tall. We had the money so we could take care of Gautham but what about those who couldn’t afford. I always wanted to do something for children. That’s how this thought of working with children was born.”
Mahesh Babu was last seen in the film Sarileru Neekevvaru where he played a soldier. The film grossed a good 200 crores INR. He will next be seen in Sarkaru Vaari Paata which also stars Keerthy Suresh. The film, directed by Parasuram, was shot mostly in Dubai and it is eyeing an A pril release.
