Mammootty is menacing in the teaser for the upcoming crime thriller Puzhu

The teaser of Puzhu starring Mammootty has been unveiled. The film is a crime thriller and has left fans curious about the actor’s character in the film. The teaser highlights a father-son story with lots of tension seemingly simmering below the surface.

Puzhu which is directed by Ratheena PT and written by Harshad stars Mammootty in the lead along with Parvathy Thiruvothu. There have been many speculations on what type of character Mammootty will play in the movie with some suggesting he may even be the villain.

The teaser is short and we see Mammootty talking to his young son, and we can tell that child played by Vasudev Sajeesh Marar is not comfortable in his father's presence. The star has been painted as a controlling figure in the teaser. 

It will be interesting to see the actor in a negative role even though Mammootty is no stranger to intense characters.

Writer Harshad is known for writing the critically and commercially successful movie Unda which also had Mammootty in the lead.

Cyn-Cyl Celluloid is producing the movie and Theni Eswar will be handling the cinematography with Jakes Bejoy helming the music.

The rest of the cast includes Nedumudi Venu and Athmiya Rajan , Puzhu is set to release some time this year.
