Mammootty may be teaming up with 'Ariyippu' director Mahesh Narayanan next

Mammootty has a stellar list of movies lined up for 2023, having projects lined up with directors like Jeo Baby, Amal Neerad, and Roby Varghese.

According to a new report, the latest addition to this list is nonother the director Mahesh Narayanan is known for directing some of the most critically acclaimed Malayalam movies of the last decade like Take OFF, Malik, and the recent Ariyippu.

Currently, the director has two projects lined up one will be a segment in the upcoming anthology titled Sherlock and will star Fahadh Faasil. The second will be the Hindi movie Phantom Hospital, which will also be the filmmaker's Bollywood debut. 

As for Mammootty, the megastar is celebrating the success of his second movie of the new year, the action-thriller Christopher , which has managed to gross over 1 crore on its opening day.

In the movie, Mammootty plays the role of SP Christopher IPS, a veteran police officer who doesn't play by the rules.

Christopher is charged with solving a series of violent crimes in Kerala that may have a link to one of his past cases.

The movie is directed by B. Unnikrishnan marking the first time Mammootty has worked with the director. The script for the movie is written by the director's long-time collaborator Udaykrishna.

The cast of the movie includes Vinay Rai, Amala Paul, Sarath Kumar, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Shine Tom Chacko, and Sneha.

Meanwhile, Mammootty also has the sequel to his 2007 blockbuster 'Big B' lined up for a 2023 release, the movie will be directed by Amal Neerad and titled 'Bilal'.

Amala Neerad's and Mammootty's last collaboration was the gangster flick Bheeshma Parvam, the movie was a critical and commercial success and went on to become one of the highest-grossing movies of last year.

Bilal is, expected to hit theaters in the latter half of 2023, and Christopher is currently running in theaters.
