Ayan Mukerji’s passion project Brahmāstra marked Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s first ever movie together. While fans found their on-screen chemistry adorable and gushed over them, it was Shah Rukh Khan ’s phenomenal cameo as a scientist that stole the show. Actress Mouni Roy ’s incredible portrayal of antagonist Junoon has also left audiences in awe. The two characters were connected because in the film, Junoon locks horns with SRK aka Mohan Bhargav to procure one part of the Brahmāstra.

Well, Mouni had a gala time working with the superstar. In a chat with News18, she revealed, “He’s was someone I was completely amazed by. He was the most charming, intelligent and spontaneous human being and actor that I’ve met. He’s brilliance personified. I used to have so many questions every single day and I would just go and ask him. He was so kind to answer everything. He gives love to everyone around him and all of us were in awe of Shah Rukh sir.”

Despite being a victim to the boycott trend on social media, Brahmāstra has emerged as a success at the box office and has already entered the 150 crore club. Talking about #BoycottBrahmāstra, which was trending on Twitter before release, Mouni shared that it did not bother her. However, she did wonder why people would use this hashtag without watching the film first. She explained, “If you watch it and then don’t like it, you can express so. But these are all phantom people, who are hiding behind their screens. They don’t have anything else to do.”

Mouni is already a big name in the television industry thanks to her portrayal of Naagin in Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural thriller series. But fans were truly happy to see her shine on the silver screen in Brahmāstra.

What did you think of Mouni’s performance as Junoon?
