Naagin trilogy: Nikhil Advani breaks silence on rumors of Shraddha Kapoor starrer being shelved

Actress Shraddha Kapoor has been away from the silver screen since the last two years. She was last seen opposite Tiger Shroff in Baaghi 3, right before the country went into a lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. Up next, she has many exciting films in her kitty, one of which is the much talked about Naagin trilogy. Fans were over the moon with joy when they heard the news about this Vishal Furia directorial. But we all got a big shock yesterday when reports suggested that the project has been shelved.

The trilogy will have heavy VFX work, much like Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva, which does not come cheap. Rumors suggested that amid the industry’s dry spell, producers are thinking of putting the Shraddha starrer on the back burner. Well, much to our delight, producer Nikhil Dwivedi has clarified that the trilogy is not shelved! In a report shared by ETimes, he was quoted saying, “It was simply 'Fake News', I would say. It wasn't true at all. The trilogy of 'Naagin' has not been kept at the backburner.”

We are sure fans will be delighted to hear this. Apart from this exciting project, Shraddha has filmmaker Luv Ranjan's much awaited romantic comedy in her kitty, which marks her first ever project with heartthrob Ranbir. That’s not all! The beauty has also officially announced her film Chaalbaaz in London which will be directed by Pankaj Parashar. Well, audiences are eagerly waiting to see Shraddha back on the silver screen again and her line up of back to back releases is no less than a treat for them!
