Nayanthara's highly anticipated horror thriller 'Connect' gets an official release date with the first trailer to hit the internet at midnight

    Director Ashwin Saravanan confirmed via social media that the first trailer will hit the internet on December 9th at midnight.

    Connect is one of Nayanthat's most anticipated movies of the year and will be her last movie of the year after three back-to-back hits in 2022. The movie will be her second collaboration with director Ashwin Saravanan.

    The two previously worked together on the 2015 horror movie Maya which was a critical and commercial hit becoming one of the highest-grossing Tamil movies of the year.

    So the hype surrounding the two workings together on another Horror movie after a gap of seven years and fans hyped. Director Ashwin Saravanan took to Instagram to announce that the first full-length trailer for the movie will be released at midnight on December 9th.

    The release date for the movie has also been pushed up from December 22 to December 12th.

    A small teaser of the movie was released last month and from the teaser, it is clear that the movie will be a blend of found footage style horror movies like the Blair Witch project and classic horror movies like The Exorcist.

    The movie is set during the nationwide lockdown during the pandemic and focuses on a single mother Susan played by Nayanthara and her teenage daughter Anna, their peaceful life takes a dark turn when Susan comes to the realsiation that her daughter is possed.

    Unable to leave her home she enlists the help of her pastor played by Anupam Kher who guides her through the process of a virtual exorcism. the teaser is dark and gloomy and mages to build tension.

    We are sure that the trailer will help add to the hype and not give away much of the plot when it drops this Friday.

    The music for the movie is composed by Prithvi Chandrasekhar, with Manikantan Krishnamachary handling the cinematography. The full cast of the movie includes Nayanthara as Susan, Sathyaraj as Arthur Samuel, Anupam Kher as Father Augustine, Vinay Rai as Joseph Benoy, and Haniya Nafis as Anna.

    Connect will be hitting theaters on December 12th, 2022.
