'Now Ajay will save her disastrous career': Twitterati stand divided on Deepika joining Rohit Shetty's cop universe

Deepika Padukone and Ajay Devgn are all set to collaborate together for the first time in Rohit Shetty ’s cop universe. The actress will be the first female cop in the filmmaker’s Singham series. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the cast of the upcoming sequel Singham Again , “#RohitShetty announces his lady #Singham… #DeepikaPadukone to be a part of #SinghamAgain, making her the first lady cop of #RohitShetty's popular Cop Universe,” he tweeted. Soon after the Twitterati spammed the comment section with their reactions. While some called it the ‘biggest news of the year’, others were disappointed with the choice of a female cop in the movie.

One of the Twitter users wrote, “Deepika ki jarurat na hai Only Singham kaafi tha Humara ye rohit shetty bewda khichadi karne me laga hai.” Another commented, “All the Excitement is over after knowing this shit news that Deepika will be part of #SinghamAgain Why Rohit Shetty Why, don't you have any other choice than Deepika. Please Take #SamanthaRuthPrabhu as lead heroine in Singham Again with #AjayDevgn.” “FLOP HOGI, Kab tak is overacting ki duka ko jhelna padega, baksh do Rohit sir, ” added another. Well, Singham Again will mark Deepika’s third collaboration with Rohit Shetty after Chennai Express and her cameo in the upcoming film Cirkus. For those unaware, the filmmaker kickstarted his cop universe with the 2011 Singham with Ajay Devgn and then took forward it with Singham Returns(2014), Simmba with Ranveer Singh, and Sooryavanshi with Akshay Kumar in 2018. He is also geared up for his digital cop universe with the Indian Police Force starring Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi.

Meanwhile, Deepika has Pathaan, Fighter, Project K, and The Intern remake in the pipeline besides Singham Again.
