Project K: Prabhas to lock horns with Amitabh Bachchan; Deepika Padukone will pack high-octane punches

The much-anticipated Project K starring three megastars Amitabh Bachchan , Deepika Padukone , and Prabhas is going to be a futuristic action thriller. The director Nag Ashwin has planned to have about half-a-dozen extensive action set-pieces executed by three action teams borrowed from Hollywood. Interestingly, all three actors will be seen in a never-seen-before action avatar, but the high point of the movie is believed to be a face-off between Prabhas and Amitabh.

According to reports, Ashwin is said to be shooting his promising Project K like a Hollywood film, with a blue and green set-up. Amitabh’s character is inspired by Mahabharata’s Ashwathamma, and he will have an elaborate fight sequence with Prabhas. The director has claimed that Big B’s action on screen will be a big-time experience for cinemagoers after a long time. The movie revolves around the timeline of World War 3, with an epic battle planned to unfold on the screen. “Every action block of Project K is equivalent to multiple action blocks in a feature film. And that’s the reason why four to five different action units are working on the film,” the source told Pinkvilla.

The upcoming movie marks Prabhas and Deepika’s first collaboration, while it will be the latter’s third film with Big B after Piku and Aarakshan. The shooting of the film began last year and is expected to wrap up by the first quarter of 2023. After an elaborate post-production work, the film is likely to hit theatres by early 2024. The film is being simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi.

Well, besides Project K, Prabhas is busy shooting for Prasanth Neel’s Salaar alongside Shruti Hassan and Om Raut’s Adipurush alongside Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan. On the other hand, Deepika has been busy shooting for Pathaan co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham, the remake of the American comedy The Intern with Bachchan and Fighter opposite Hrithik Roshan.
