When super hit films from the South film industry are remade in other languages, it piques the interest of the audience. Questions such as ‘will it do justice to the original’, or ‘who will headline the project’ arise in all of our minds. Nevertheless, it does leave the audience super excited to see how it finally turns out. Well, one of the most awaited Bollywood films at the moment is the Vikram Vedha remake. While initially it was going to be headlined by Saif Ali Khan and Aamir Khan , the latter walked out due to creative differences and was replaced by Hrithik Roshan later.

While Hrithik will be seen as gangster Vedha, which was originally portrayed by Vijay Sethupathi, Saif will be stepping into the shoes of R Madhavan ’s Vikram. Well, in a recent chat with Mid Day, Madhavan opened up about the same. He shared, “I am in touch with [Saif]. He is only cautious. He is a phenomenal actor, and always does a brilliant job.” Joking about how Saif could steal his thunder, the actor added, “When Saif puts his heart and soul into a role, he becomes a different monster. I am just keeping my finger crossed and hoping that my identity as Vikram from the Tamil film, is maintained.”

Saif, who was last seen in films like Bhoot Police and Bunty Aur Babli 2, has quite an exciting line up of films at the moment. Other than the Vikram Vedha remake, he is expected to be seen in Go Goa Gone 2 and will also share the screen with Prabhas and Kriti Sanon in Om Raut’s Adipurush.
