Raajneeti 2: Script of Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer’s sequel is ready, confirms Prakash Jha

Filmmaker Prakash Jha is currently busy gearing up for the release of the third and much awaited chapter of his popular web series, Aashram. Starring Bobby Deol in the lead as Baba Nirala, a conman turned godman, the crime drama gained a huge fan following because of the actor’s never seen before avatar and a gripping story-line. Well, another story helmed by Jha which left audiences wanting more was his 2010 multi-starrer Raajneeti. As we wait for the third installment of Aashram, many can’t help but wonder if Raajneeti 2 is in the works as well.

Much to our delight, the filmmaker has now confirmed that the script of his blockbuster hit political thriller is ready. In a report shared by Bollywood Life, Prakash was quoted saying, “I like to explore new subjects. Raajneeti is one subject where there is another part, which has been written. But, you know, in the field of politics, so much changes (compared to when the script was written), so maybe, but I'm not too sure. There are new subjects on which I've been working on.”

While he isn’t sure about the project for now, we can bet that fans would love to see a sequel of Raajneeti! The twists and turns, the unpredictable story and Ranbir Kapoor’s on-screen chemistry with Katrina Kaif were elements which made the film a winner. On top of that, we got to witness master-class performances by Ajay Devgn, Nana Patekar, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpayee. We truly hope the filmmaker decides to go ahead! Don’t you?
