Ram Charan lauds RRR and Yash’s KGF Chapter 2; talks about popularity of South Indian films in the country

In the last one month, two very special films arrived in theatres and broke various records on the box office with their incredible performance-- SS Rajamouli’s RRR starring Ram Charan, NTR Jr and Alia Bhatt , and rocking star Yash ’s much awaited KGF Chapter 2. A few days ago, Charan even shared his appreciation for Yash’s film in a tweet which read: “CONGRATULATIONS to my brother @prashanth_neel @hombalefilms and the entire team for massive success of #KGF2 Rocky !! Dear brother @TheNameIsYash your performance was just mind blowing & your on onscreen presence is commendable.”

Well, last night during the pre-release bash of his next film Acharya, which was attended by his father and superstar Chiranjeevi, actress Pooja Hegde and Rajamouli amongst others, Charan once again spoke about the success of his masterpiece RRR and KGF Chapter 2. Bollywood Life quoted him saying, “It's wonderful to see the popularity of South Indian films in the country. My father used to say that back then, people only talked about super actors in Bollywood. Our films, such as KGF 2 , RRR, and others, are now being discussed throughout the country. I'm also proud to have been a part of it.”

Also starring Sonu Sood and Kajal Aggarwal , action drama Acharya is one of the most anticipated Telugu films of the year. Written and directed by Koratala Siva, the project is being backed by Matinee Entertainment and Konidela Production Company . After a long wait, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the film is all set to arrive in theatres on 29th April. Currently the star cast is busy on a promotional spree.
