Rashmika Mandanna reveals her Animal co-star Ranbir Kapoor addresses her 'ma'am'

Rashmika Mandanna , fondly known as ‘national crush’ is making her Bollywood debut with Ranbir Kapoor in Sandeep Reddy Vanga ’s Animal . The actress is all praise for her co-star Ranbir and revealed what nickname he uses to address her.

In a recent interview, Rashmika opened up about her working experience with Ranbir. The actress said that at first she was nervous when she first met Ranbir but later it became all easy. Calling him ‘extremely loving’ she revealed that he is the only actor who calls her ‘ma’am’ which she does not like.

“He’s extremely loving. I was, of course, nervous when I met him first, but I think he’s so easygoing that five minutes into the look test, we were already very comfortable with each other. Thinking about it, it’s amazing how easy it’s been so far with Ranbir and Sandeep. And he’s the only one in the whole industry who calls me "ma’am," and I do not like it. I will get him for this one,” She told Filmfare.

In April, a video was leaked from the sets of Animal in Manali surfaced online. The video featured Ranbir and Rashmika dressed in ethnics discussing a shot by the roadside. While Ranbir wore a white kurta-pyjama, Rashmika was seen in a cream-coloured saree with a red border. “I am having a blast working on Animal with Ranbir and Sandeep—the boys are the best,” Rashmika replied when asked about her Manali schedule.

To note, Rashmika and Ranbir will be sharing the screen space for the first time in Animal. The film is touted to be a pan-India project that will be released in Hindi and all South Indian languages. Bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar's T-Series, Murad Khetani 's Cine1 Studios, and Pranay Reddy Vanga's Bhadrakali Pictures, the film is scheduled for 2023 release.
