Rocketry vs Rashtra Kavach Om box office: R Madhavan's film sees a growth while Aditya Roy Kapur starrer goes downhill
Aditya Roy Kapur’s Rashtra Kavach Om and R Madhavan starrer Rocketry: The Nambi Effect was released at the box office on July 1. Though the movies cater to different kinds of genres and had a lot of expectations, they opened to a rather dismal opening collection. On their second day, while Aditya’s movie saw a decline in collections, Madhavan’s biographical flick witnessed a slight growth.

Aditya Roy Kapur ’s Rashtra Kavach Om and R Madhavan starrer Rocketry : The Nambi Effect was released at the box office on July 1. Though the movies cater to different kinds of genres and had a lot of expectations, they opened to a rather dismal opening collection. On their second day, while Aditya’s movie saw a decline in collections, Madhavan’s biographical flick witnessed a slight growth.
While Rocketry: The Nambi Effect earned Rs 75 lakh on its first day, Rashtra Kavach Om minted Rs 1.25 crore with its opening day collections. According to a news report in Pinkvilla, on its second day, while R Madhavan’s film showed a growth of 65 percent, Aditya Roy Kapur starrer witnessed a decline in the numbers. The movie based on the life of former aerospace engineer Nambi Narayanan earned Rs 1.25 crore at the box office even though it has only had limited releases in metropolitan cities.
On the other hand, Rashtra Kavach Om saw a decline in its box office collections wherein the actioner minted Rs 1.20 crore on its second day. This has been furthermore fueled by the negative response that the movie has received from the critics. Reportedly, some of the screens of the movie have been replaced by Jugjugg Jeeyo which is still witnessing a successful run at the box office.
The movie Rocketry: The Nambi Effect also marks the directorial debut of R Madhavan. The movie chronicles aerospace engineer Nambi Narayanan being accused in the ISRO espionage case and the tribulations that were faced by him and his family. The movie also stars Simran , Rajit Kapur, and Misha Ghoshal in the lead roles.
Talking about Rashtra Kavach Om, the movie also stars Sanjana Sanghi, Prakash Raj , and Ashutosh Rana in the lead roles. The movie has been helmed by Kapil Verma. It has been produced by Ahmed Khan.
