RRR: KV Vijayendra Prasad recommended names of Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and Allu Arjun to S.S. Rajamouli for the film

With RRR filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli has proven that he is competing with himself when it comes to making and breaking records at the box office. RRR has earned nearly Rs. 600 crores at the ticket windows worldwide and broken a few records set by the filmmaker’s last outing Baahubali 2 – the biggest blockbuster of Indian cinema.

Now, in an interview Rajamouli’s father and writer of RRR, KV Vijayendra Prasad has spoken about the possibility of a sequel for the film like Baahubali got to be a two part franchise. While the father-son duo are looking to work with actor Mahesh Babu next, the writer did share what he had in mind regarding the sequel if there ever was to be one.

“We can take the two heroes on another action-based adventure outside India, in other British colonies that existed in 1920. But we haven’t discussed that possibility yet,” KV Vijayendra Prasad told Mid-Day. He further spoke about the yet untitled project they have with Mahesh Babu and added, “This project will take two years at least. So, there’s no point in thinking about the RRR sequel right now.”

Apart from commenting the possibility of a sequel to RRR, KV Vijayendra Prasad also spoke about all the actors he recommended to the filmmaker when he declared his wish to direct a multi-starrer after Baahubali 2.

He recommended names of pairs like Ram Charan and Allu Arjun , Rajinikanth and Ram Charan, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan , and more to Rajamouli. The filmmaker however, settled on Jr. NTR and Ram Charan since he had a good rapport with them and he needed the actors to for one-and-a-half to three years and predicted that working together for so long for two mega stars could lead to clashes.

RRR as a historical action drama has managed to impress fans all over the world. The movie has been doing exceptionally well in India and also garnered positive reviews from critics.

Apart from Jr. NTR and Ram Charan the film also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn .
