Runway 34: Ajay Devgn reveals how he came onboard as a director for the aviation thriller flick

Ajay Devgn is currently on a promotional spree for his movie Runway 34. The aviation thriller movie is directed by the megastar and also stars him in the lead role. In a group media interaction recently, Ajay spoke about how he came on board as a director for the project.

Talking about the same, Ajay Devgn said that he really loved the story of Runway 34 after which he had asked the writers to do some minor changes to the plot. The Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam actor said, “Yes, the story came to me 2 years back. I liked the story so I told the writers that I would like to see some changes in it. But at that time, I wasn't thinking of directing it. I told them to make these changes and then I'll meet them. But then I forgot about it and one year passed by, and the pandemic happened too. Then I suddenly remembered about it and called them and they told me they've made the needed changes and that they were waiting for me. Then I called them over and started working on the script. For 2-3 months, the script became so interesting and nice that I decided to direct it.”

Ajay Devgn furthermore said how dabbling both as an actor and director for Runway 34 was a lot of hard work for him. The De De Pyaar De actor said, “It’s just a lot of hard work. You're setting up a camera, looking at the performances, working out the scenes. Acting out the scenes and then going back as a director while looking at the shots, it's just a lot of hard work and you've to be there. I enjoyed it.”

The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles. The movie is also being produced by Ajay Devgn. It is all set to be released on April 29.
