Talking about the trailer, it shows Sam as a no-nonsense Indian soldier who does not get easily deterred from politics and internal conspiracies. Bahadur courageously says that he and his soldiers do not want a ‘normal’ situation but instead wish to win. He was also asked to join the Pakistani army by Muhammad Ali Jinnah. But Manekshaw says that he was born in Amritsar, his wife was from Bombay and he works in Delhi as a soldier. Stating these, he asks how much more can be an Indian than this. We then see him leading the Indian army during the Indo-Pakistan conflicts in 1971. Take a look at the same.

We also see Fatima Sana Shaikh look unrecognizable as former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Not only her looks but the actress also nails her voice. We see a glimpse of Sanya Malhotra who essays Manekshaw’s wife Siloo Manekshaw who is a supporting and loving wife. The trailer shows how Sam exudes patriotism and fearlessness during this war. He also goes against the politicians who try to disrupt the discipline of the Indian Army. He motivates his soldiers by saying that whether they live or die, the pride of their uniform should always flourish. At the end of the goosebump-worthy trailer, Kausal as Manekshaw sternly says that no officer or soldier will withdraw from their posts without his written order which he will never give.

Sam Bahadur is helmed by Meghna Gulzar. It also stars Neeraj Kabi and Zeeshan Ayyub. The movie will witness a clash at the box office with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal.
