Fans who have always loved the rapport shared by the two stars are beaming with joy to see the actress’ heartfelt birthday note for her ex-brother-in-law. For the unversed, Rana Daggubati is the cousin of Samantha’s ex-husband and actor Naga Chaitanya, from his mother Lakshmi Daggubati’s side.

It is no secret that Rana Daggubati and Samantha have maintained their friendship despite Samantha’s divorce from his cousin Naga Chaitanya. The duo, who are often seen supporting each other, never miss a chance to pull each other’s legs!

During a recent IIFA Utsavam, Rana Daggubati and Samantha engaged in friendly banter, with the former calling the actress "Samantha Ruthless Prabhu."

The Baahubali actor jokingly remarked on her transformations over the years. He quipped, “Samantha went from Tollywood to Hollywood. Went from my sister-in-law to sister.”

The comment left the Citadel actress laughing as she joined in the playful banter.

Rana then teased her about not doing many Telugu films lately, to which Samantha responded, saying that if she were to take on a project, it should be on the scale of Narasimha Naidu, not something like Rana Naidu. In a playful mood, Rana clarified that Rana Naidu wasn’t a movie but a show, adding that he learned from Samantha’s Family Man that anything could be done in such projects.

He then asked her, “But what happened to Comedy Sam?” To this, she replied, “Comedy Sam… controversial Sam. She went to sleep; good night.”
