Shah Rukh Khan to start shooting for Rajkumar Hirani's immigrant drama from April 15?

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan ’s die-hard fans were sent into a frenzy ever since it was announced that the actor will be collaborating with director Rajkumar Hirani for his next. The project is touted to be a social drama and also stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. Now, the latest development surrounding the same is that the actor will be shooting for the same around April 15 reportedly.

A source close to the project revealed to Pinkvilla, “Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan are all set to start shooting for this social comedy set against the backdrop of immigration around April 15. A grand set, resembling Punjab, is put up at Film City in Mumbai, and that’s where the team will be shooting for a period of around 40 days.”

The source added that Hirani has the habit of keeping some gap between his two schedules as he edits the footage of the first schedule to see how his vision has translated into the final product. The source went on to say that while Rajkumar Hirani will be editing the first schedule, Shah Rukh Khan will resume shooting for Atlee’s next which is primarily based in Mumbai and Pune. The source also said that the movie which is based on the immigrant issue will furthermore be shot in international locations like London, Budapest, and US or Canada.

The source said, “The Mumbai leg of Hirani’s film will be followed by three more schedules in London, Budapest, and either the US or Canada. The formalities to shoot at certain spots are being looked upon now. The shooting spots play one important character in the Hirani film. The overseas schedule is expected to start sometime around July.” Thus, it looks like Shah Rukh Khan will be having a jam-packed schedule this month and will be balancing his shoots between Hirani and Atlee’s films.
