Shahid Kapoor is all set to entertain his fans as an action hero with his next titled Bloody Daddy . The Jersey star has wrapped up shooting for the movie which is currently lined up for release in December. Shahid proudly shares in a recent interview how has performed 95% of the stunts Ali’s film himself.

The movie was the second action outing Shahid shot in a row after his web series with director duo Raj and DK. The actor will be seen a cop in the film Bloody Daddy, chasing drug lords in this Hindi adaptation of the French film, Nuit Blanche.

Talking about his character in detail during an interview with Mid-Day, Shahid said, “Ali understands the genre of action well, and I wanted to do something in that space. My character is not an out-of-the-box action hero that would make people wonder why he is doing this. We found a [story] where the action comes as a natural consequence of the circumstances. The character is believable and relatable, say how Bruce Willis was in Die Hard. I felt that would be the right way to [do] this genre.”

Delving into all things new he learnt during the making of the film, Shahid further said, “I learnt a lot of new things. The first was to conserve my energy. I realised action can be tiring. I did 95 per cent of the stunts by myself. The remaining was not possible as I was not [well-trained] for it. Ali has not done this kind of an action film before; it’s edgy, quirky and real.”

Ali Abbas Zafar known to have directed films like Tiger Zinda Hai, Sultan , Gunday and Bharat previously worked as an assistant director on Shahid Kapoor’s film Badmash Company . Their film together, Bloody Daddy is pegged to be a big scale action thriller.
