Shahid Kapoor to romance robot played by Kriti Sanon in Dinesh Vijan's romantic comedy

    Shahid Kapoor ’s next with Dinesh Vijan will be a unique love story between a robotics guy and a robot. The actor will be collaborating for the first time with Kriti Sanon in the debutant Amit Joshi’s directorial. The film is yet-to-be-titled and the official announcement of the same will soon be made by Dinesh’s Maddock Films.

    According to reports by Peepingmoon.com, the romantic comedy will have Shahid featured as the robotics guy while Kriti will essay the role of the robot. Set against the backdrop of Indian culture, the upcoming movie will have a quirky take on the romance between a man and machine. The makers are keen on making it look like a cross between the Hollywood movie, Ex Machina and the Indian television show Bahu Hamari Rajnikanth. The film promises a unique and enticing experience with a love story based on a Hollywood concept told in the typical Indian context.

    Well, the upcoming movie will be one-of-its-kind since Bollywood has rarely explored this concept of love between man and machine. Also, it will be interesting to see a fresh pair Kriti and Shahid, and their chemistry onscreen. Earlier, it was reported that the pre-production has begun and the project will be shot in India and multiple European countries.     Besides this untitled movie, Shahid has recently finished shooting for Bloody Daddy with director Ali Abbas Zafar. The film is said to be the Hindi adaptation of the French film Nuit Blanche. Apart from this, he is foraying into digital space with Raj and DK’s Farzi, which is supposedly set in the world of counterfeit money. The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Raashii Khanna in key roles.

    On the other hand, Kriti is currently shooting for Rohit Dhawan’s Shehzada co-starring Kartik Aaryan. It is the Hindi remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, also starring Manisha Koirala and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles. She also has period drama Adipurursh alongside Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan, Bhediya with Varun Dhawan, and Ganapath: Part 1 opposite Tiger Shroff. She has also signed up for an untitled project helmed by Anurag Kashyap.
