The third wave of novel coronavirus, led by omicron, is expected to arrive in our country by the second half of this month and as a result various curfews have been imposed in some states. Release dates of much awaited films such as Jersey and RRR have been pushed indefinitely once again and rumors suggest that most filmmakers are once again eyeing the digital route for their projects. Actor Sanjay Dutt , who was last seen on the big screen in Panipat , misses theatres and is hoping for the situation to get better for his upcoming films.

In a recent chat with Hindustan Times, Sanju baba shared that his upcoming films Shamshera, KGF 2 and Prithviraj are magnum opuses and he was eagerly looking forward to their release. But due to the sudden hike in COVID-19 cases, things are looking uncertain. He was quoted saying, “These films are made for big screen experience but this can only be enjoyed when the Covid 19 situation for the country is under control. Right now, I only hope that things get better for us and for that people have to continue to take precautions and mask up.”

The actor also shared a health update for his fans. Back in 2020, Dutt was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer amid the first wave of coronavirus. He announced his recovery a few months later. Talking to the portal, Sanjay shared that he is back on his feet and raring to go. He was quoted saying, “I’m glad that’s in the past and I was able to recover fully from that difficult phase. It all comes down to willpower and keeping the faith.”

Well, after the digital premieres of Sadak 2, Torbaaz and Bhuj: The Pride of India, we can’t wait to see Sanju baba on the silver screen again.
