Shamshera: Ranbir Kapoor leaves fans with goosebumps in this impressive teaser, Sanjay Dutt redefines evil; watch

    While Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as Shamshera in the upcoming period action film, Sanjay Dutt is portraying the role of the menacing antagonist. Ahead of the trailer launch, makers dropped a teaser today giving us a glimpse of their characters.

    After what seems like a long wait, the much anticipated poster of Ranbir Kapoor ’s upcoming film Shamshera was officially shared on social media by the team this week. Apart from the actor’s impressive first look as the dacoit, another major reason why fans are so excited for this period action film is that it marks his comeback to the silver screen after 4 long years. Also starring Vaani Kapoor as a dancer and Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist, Shamshera is all set to arrive in theatres on 22nd July.

    As we eagerly wait for the trailer, a better look at Ranbir’s Shamshera and a glimpse of all the other characters, makers dropped a gripping teaser today. The one minute 21 seconds clip introduced us to Sanju Baba’s character who redefines the word ‘evil’ as he laughs through the pain of others. But for every tribe out there who is suffering at the hands of a villain, there is a savior. An axe in one hand and intensity in his eyes, we meet Shamshera for a brief moment. Ranbir has successfully left netizens with goosebumps!

    The most interesting bit of this teaser is the end, when we see a different avatar of Ranbir-- a younger, more carefree version of the man. We see him riding a horse throughout but in that one last moment we see him walking the streets barefoot as we hear whistling in the background. Ranbir’s never seen before look and double role, Sanjay’s menacing avatar and the suspense that is Shamshera’s story has left us right on the edge. This Karan Malhotra directorial promises to exceed expectations! We are now eagerly waiting for the trailer, which will be launched on 24th June.
