    Ahead of the trailer release, the makers of Shamshera dropped a new poster of Sanjay Dutt introducing his character as Daroga Shuddh Singh. The actor sports a fierce avatar as he sets to battle a dacoit played by Ranbir Kapoor in the upcoming film.

    Directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Aditya Chopra ’s Yash Raj Films , the film revolves around a tribe of dacoits fighting for their rights and independence against the British Government . The film also stars Vaani Kapoor in the role of the dancer in the film.

    Sharing the first look poster of Sanjay, the production house YRF wrote, Evil never looked this good - Daroga Shuddh Singh. Catch #ShamsheraTrailer tomorrow! Celebrate #Shamshera with #YRF50 only at a theatre near you on 22nd July. On the other hand, Sanjay also shared his new character poster on his Instagram handle with caption that reads, “ "Watch him in #ShamsheraTrailer tomorrow! Celebrate #Shamshera with #YRF50 only at a theatre near you."

    In the poster, the 62-year-old actor can be seen wearing a police uniform with a huge tikka smeared on his forehead. With an evil laugh on his face, he can be seen holding a whip in his fierce avatar. Reacting to the poster, his industry friends Bunty Walia, Chef Vicky Ratnani and Deepesh Sharma heaped praises on him. Have a look:

    Earlier on Wednesday, the makers had unveiled the gripping teaser of the upcoming film. The one-minute 21 seconds clip showed a glimpse into a tribe out there who is suffering at the hands of a villain. Then enters saviour Shamshera essayed by Ranbir with an axe in one hand and intensity in his eyes leaving netizens with goosebumps.

    After experiencing infinite delays in the past, Shamshera will finally hit the screens on July 22 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The film’s release date will also mark the 50th year of Yash Raj Films.
